For those of you who don’t know Beverly is at approximately mp CG5.0 /Lamar in the vicinity of PCA and Buzzi cement located in Grandville MI.

I was going to ask “Beverly?” Thanks for clarification GR H & C. Think it was a Y195 local engine doing some switches at that industrial spur yard.

For Tom: as of 11am this morning, saw a pair of BNSF units at west olive coupled nose to nose. Saw three loaded coal trains to the east of Lakeshore Dr, an empty east of there as well, and lots of empties in the plant. Two blue/green locos were shuffling empties around on the south end of the plant.

Thanks ~Z~ There should be 2 pairs of BNSF engines at the plant: #9264 + #9227 & #6326 + #9350 (the 2nd pair was brought to the plant today on R597-03). The #9264 + #9227 was expected to be going out on the next empty, but, E802-01 ran today with the CN #5647 + UP #6421 instead.

They left Chicago Union Station at 20:05 CT, 1 hour, 35 minutes late.

According to Amtrak Twitter, the cause is mechanical in nature.

R598-04 @ 05:30 westward Holland Depot mp CG25.3 with BNSF engine #9227 & CSX engines #253 + #718 + #253 & 130 empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF #9264. He’ll go into Wells Siding mp CG41.4 & tie down the empty coal train & then take the CSX power to Grand Junction siding mp CG54 to pick up the C800-04 that had tied down there earlier this morning.
