I heard horns here in Pontiac maybe 5 minutes ago, couldn't tell what it was or if it were SB or NB, so might be on its way to you soon. I love zebras, so I should have run down to the tracks. Maybe next time.

I saw WB M301 passing Durand at 21:19 on M1. It had a clear signal just past the diamond, and was moving at a decent speed, but by the time the rear cleared Durand, it had noticeably slowed down. Now I know why!

Ugh, of course CN 8952 is leading through Durand in the middle of the night. If I were crazier, I'd drive up there and camp out on one of the station's picnic benches.

HAHA!!!! I have done this before! It was May 22, 1999 night! I slept (with friend Correy Fanson) on the picnic tables at Durand station!!!! This was to wait for the Bluewater® excursion to come in and take passengers to Owosso with TSBY diesels! Then at Owosso, PM 1225 would lead the excursion tender first to Clare! We (Dad (RCJ I) and Correy) rode the side trip to Lake George! Well, the steam engine had problems and kept breaking down on the way up! The diesels came to the rescue! The side trip had two TSBY GP35s! The steam train return to Owosso had to use TSBY engines for help! Well, my first time seeing 1225 was great, but sleeping on picnic tables is not very comfortable! Not much sleep at all! I was 15 then!

Well, if anyone is into "Rare" CN "ZEBRAS!!!!" Will CN "Zebra" SD40-2W #5331 continue working train 508? It would be nice if it came to the Mount Clemens SUB. At least I read that "CN" painted GTW GP38-2 #5853 is working local GTW lines again!
