L302-12 @ 14:25 Rougemere Yard/Detroit job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engine #3226 + CSX engine #5224 & 67 cars (46 loads + 21 empties) @ 6,627 tons & 4,081 feet long. At 14:53 Rouge called their driver to pickup the Conductor & take him to P Company Jct mp CH8.7 He had work in Lansing.

L302-12 @ 15:15 ready to depart from P Company Jct & head westward to Lansing.

L301-12 @ 14:41 westward reported from the Defect Detector mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 64 axles. CSX engines #4003 + #8066 & 13 cars. He’s headed to Arlington Metals in Sawyer, Mi mp CG105.2 & has 3 loaded Coil Cars to set off & unknown if he has any empties to pick up.

L301-12 should be picking up 5 coil empties from Wednesday if I remember correctly. Train just arrived at Sawyer at 14:58

It malfunctioned when L301-12 was there at 16:56 the right gate arm ended up touching the ground & pumping up & down after L301 cleared off of the Island Circuit, the other gate armed had restored to its normal position. No vehicle had gone around the gates when the crossing 1st activated - CSX was called & notified.

A question, please, does M326 get onto the NS line at East Curtis mp Bi 246.3 on the Barr sub-div or does he go a little further eastward & gets onto NS Porter sub-div at Willow Creek mp Bi 236.6?

M326 (and 327) gets on NS at East Curtis, CP 497 on the NS. There is no way to get from the Porter Branch to the GR Sub at Porter without a backup move.

All Grand Rapids trains heading for Chicago (M327/326 and Coal Empties/Loads) get on the NS at CP 482. Trains destined for the Barr Sub get off the NS at CP 497 (Near East Curtis) and continue on to their destination either Barr Yard or the BNSF connection off the Blue Island Sub. Coal trains can go all the way west to NS CP 509 and get on to the BRC at the connection track there. Loaded coal also can take the BRC getting off the Blue Island just outside the 75th St Jct. and getting back on the NS at CP 509.
