that doesn't surprise me about L301...when he was on his way into Zeeland I could walk faster than he was going even though it sounded like he was running wide open.....

Perhaps BL2 can confirm with his flashlight, but I bet that third unit on L303 is actually CSXT 6035, which apparently just traded places with the 6460 which arrived yesterday. Must be time for someone’s 92 day!

The three covered hoppers Y121 dropped off at Vanden Bosch Feeds in Zeeland yesterday are all unloaded and ready for pickup. Hard to tell in the dark, but it looks like ex MILW and CNW cars (NOKL now) and the third car is gray with ATW reporting marks.

After replaying the archives for L303-10's job briefing, the engineer had said 6034 then said "35" as a quick correction. So, yes, it was the #6035 that Y121 had been using & today Y121 was running with the CSX #6460.

So it is confirmed that Y121 had CSX #6035 heading into the yard and had CSX #6460 head out west yesterday, too, when I reported that DD 19.1 report of a 4 axle engine heading west for Y121.

Thanks for the heads up on this GP30M4216 regarding 6035 or 6034 on L303-10 today. While it has already confirmed that 6035 was the one, went out and walked across the street to stand within 30 feet of the train under the street light on the corner to get a good look at it. Both would have been good enough for me. Last saw 6034 in the yard at Walbridge Ohio on 10-28-05, while 6035 had not been seen by me since 5-5-10 when it went by Howell on Q334-10 as the trailing unit behind 7566 + 941 at 12:30 PM.

The talk on this also confirmed for me that 6460, the trailing unit on L302 a few days ago went all the way to Grand Rapids and did not get set off in Lansing.

You're welcome, BL2 1843. Sometimes it's fun to step out and confirm a thing you think you know, just to be absolutely certain. Especially when it's 60-some degrees!

Tying this whole saga of 4-axle Geeps together nicely, both are former B&O GP40-2 units, still sporting their original CSX numbers and cabs. And I'm certain they both looked great in their prior Chessie dress, too!
