1757 desk 10 is heard giving lights to one out of battle creek. Potentially 450. They were instructed to stop wherever they meet 251 and get the pilot off it to go back south. 251 at that time going through Milwaukee junction. Anyone have insight into what they would mean?

LRF reported a few days ago that CN is short of crews qualified on the Holly Subdivision so this pilot stuff may be part of this. The pilot must be for the running on the Holly and is on 251 right now? And as it seems that the trains won't be on the Holly when they meet tonight and that 450's crew also needs the pilot to run on the Holly too as they are not qualified for it? Just guessing and putting two and two together, which never equals four on the railroad.

That’s my guess as well. They are qualifying crews out of BC to have more crews qualified between Durand and Flat Rock. Most likely, all crews qualified currently have the day off.

Normally on the first day of the work after the weekend the south end of Pontiac Yard is full of loaded center beams and various boxcars, covered hoppers and tank cars. Also, recently steel coil cars and LPG tank cars. But today it is empty and the engines do not appear to be at work yet.
