Says it occurred on Montana Rail Link in Montana. A few tank cars with molten sulfur and asphalt leaked into the river. Supposedly the materials harden fairly quickly when exposed to cold water, and aren't expected to impact much downriver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1I2edCdh2Y

The obligatory questions.
40,000 killed in auto accidents every year. Shut down highways at midnight?
A lineman working for DTE was electrocuted over the weekend. Shut down electricity at midnight?

Not until New Years at the end of THIS YEAR.
Notice the pier that the two sections of collapsed bridge were resting upon is GONE? Scoured by high water caused erosion under the piers...just my opinion...and later confirmed by engineering. "Scotty, tell me why the piers were scoured?"..."Captain, it appears high fast moving water did it."

The highway bridge that was adjacent to the railroad bridge was abandoned due to scouring of the piers. The highway bridge was recently demolished.
