There is speculation that it hit a truck causing it to derail, but I doubt it considering that it derailed mid train.

CSX Media Relations tells FOX 31 that just before 1 p.m., a CSX train struck an unoccupied semi-truck on the S. McDonald Avenue crossing, in Coffee County, derailing several intermodal cars and one locomotive.

It hit the truck which caused it to derail once it went over a switch down the line.David Collins wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 9:09 pmThere is speculation that it hit a truck causing it to derail, but I doubt it considering that it derailed mid train.

Mid train? If it derailed mid train the crew would probably not be injured and the lead locomotive would not have been face down in the dirt.David Collins wrote: ↑Mon Feb 07, 2022 9:09 pmThere is speculation that it hit a truck causing it to derail, but I doubt it considering that it derailed mid train.
