With the staff's blessing, my idea for this thread is discussion of and recording traffic on the Carolina - Southeast lines.

I ditched FB over a year ago. FB sells everyone bit of info their users give them to the highest bidder. The one thing I miss from FB is railfan discussions. I'm hoping to bring some of the Carolinas - Southeast lines here.

On that note, a K 429 would follow K 447 north (east) in the early morning hours of 01-19-22. Both are loaded ethanol runs. K447 goes to Toddville (Charlotte West) and K 429 went to Healing Springs. This was on the CSX Charlotte Sub west of Charlotte.

Correct, This must be a new one since Its not on the wiki with all of the train ID’s. It also took the S-Line (or the AS line or whatever it’s called now) and met P84 up at Barber Junction.

The S Line is correct, or the Asheville Dist.

This is interesting.

The last I heard the BL line has been severed between Bulls Gap and Newport. The BL was the cutoff from the S Line (River Line) at Newport to the Appalachia Dist where thge coal loads originated. Perhaps that info was in error.

Do you know if it was loaded or empty. On the N line 800 trains that are loaded have even numbered IDs. On the surface, I'd guess an 839 was an empty.

I need to look in to this.

Thanks for the info.

I do not know if it was loaded or empty, all I know at the moment about this train is that it came out of Linwood, it’s some sort of coal train and it took the S line at CP Spencer. I don’t have any engine numbers either.

8:06 AM: CSX Y102-20 reported by the DD Mp SF317.4, I believe it should be CSX 4080 and 4045 for power, 174 axles, which would equate to 40 cars.
8:13 AM: NS 15R reported by the Five Row signal MP 331.4.
