Same work that went on at WR tower, puttting in new signels, and power opperated switches, then it will all be controled by BX, in Chicago. Stanley tower will no longer have a opperator. Also all Chigaco/Detroit Division Disp, will be in Cal. City, by Feb. 1st

I knew the work was coming soon, but I also knew Walbridge was first. Have they completed the upgrade at WR tower? Is it still open? I'd like to visit these towers again but it's tough because they're so far away from a public roadway. Time to try to super 300mm zoom I guess.

Up grades at WR tower have been compleate for quite a while now. I want to say back in Aug/Sep. The tower still stands, but there has been no one in it, seince June/July. As far as Stanley goes, he said next year, but if it is anthying like WR was, it will probilly not offically happen, until 2007. It took them over a year and a half, to instal, wire, move the track, ect. to close WR. I really dont see it being any shorter her.
