Seems like an odd PEQ: http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject. ... =895130685
I dunno, part of me likes the shot, but the other part of me knows it's nothing special. I kind of want to appeal, not that I'll ever win.

I like Oakways as much as the next guy, but the photo is just clouded with snow. If it was a snow shower with big flakes and it looked good, I would like it better. Almost looks like fog in the photo. Good attempt all the same.

As cool as it is, I think I'm agreeing with James, it's got a LOT of snow in it, almost too much. Maybe bump up the contrast and lighten it a bit, but I think this one's better off in your personal stash.

Re: PEQ
Love it but it's not worth an appeal, it will never get on.
Re: PEQ
Y@ - nice shot, I like it, but I think all the blowing snow off the other train may make it a tough sell on rp.net. If possible, I'd give it a little more room (cropped a little tight for my tastes) and bump the contrast & saturation a little to make it "pop" more if you bother re-trying. They seem to be getting tougher on snow shots lately though - perhaps getting sick of 'em at this point in the season. Maybe submit it in the summer? Here's my own most recent reject (also a snow shot that I'm not going to bother further with):Conrail Jon wrote:As cool as it is, I think I'm agreeing with James, it's got a LOT of snow in it, almost too much. Everyone needs to learn to contrast compensate!
