Last of the Railroad Loggers

Interesting video on logging railroads in Washington, I didn't know this was a method of log retrieval.

Seems to me this group of guys purchased the Chehalis Western after Weyerhaeuser shut it down in order to scrounge the last remaining timber from the line. Could be a cool model diorama.

Interesting the video link you posted came up on my YouTube feed yesterday. While we are on the subject of logging railroads here’s a link to a site that has a lot of great pictures of Michigan logging operations and the steam locomotive they used.
