Status on CSX HLS1

So if you’re a big Huntington, WV railfan, I think you might be familiar with the HLS1 by now! To give an idea for those who don’t know, HLS1 is an ex Clinchfield Railroad SD45-2 which CSX repurposed in the late 90s-early 2000s to run as a load test unit for Huntington shops to basically “test” locomotives which had maintenance or were rebuilt at that point. Now after the whole PSR turnaround at CSX, HLS1 (along with everything else that’s cool on CSX) ended up in storage but I think it still might be able to have a second chance as when 9280 got its second chance for service, HLS1 was pictured next to it meaning it could have a future but we don’t know. If anyone has info on this one of a kind (idk if waycross still has load test units lol) locomotive, please reply! It’s an interesting engine with an interesting history that most definitely should be restored back into its clinchfield paint!
