Yes, they do. RCPE 3481. RCPE 2086 was also still on CF&E property as of 3/21.

TP&W, as I said in my post on March 7
You sure? no one around here has seen or heard of it yet.

Knowing how dead in tow locomotives move, it’s probably not there yet. But yes, it is waybilled for the TP&W.

FYI, 2 new GP38-2s will be coming to Michigan in the coming months. MMRR 2169 and 2170, which are the former NS 5298 and NS 5295 (both were built as Conrail units). One unit is supposed to go to the Michigan Shore while the other will be going to the Mid Michigan. As has been previously mentioned elsewhere, these will replace the HESR 3868 and HESR 2025, which are being used as trade in credits towards the new units.

That's sad that they are replacing HESR 2025. I love the horn on that unit. It seems like the MS is always getting a new unit every few years, but MMRR 2019 is still going strong. Also, does anyone know were MMRR 2057 ended up?
Got to go, I hear a train coming... :D

With the MSRR, There is an odd flow of power these days, After any issue on any locomotive becomes apparent, It gets swapped and reassigned/sold. Makes me believe that MS can't do any maintenance work apart from a horn swap and such. For example, the GRE 3839 had a major malfunction and was OOS for ever, Then CF&E 3885 came up. After the merger, 2019 came up and replaced the 3836 and ran with 3885 for a month or so, just to have 2057(Ex GRE 3839) show up and make it a pumpkin duo. Same with the KRR units. If I recall correctly, Didn't the KRR units all have major electrical issues, or was it just one. 1216 got sent away quick also, It's a miracle we aren't reduced to 1 unit. I'd saw 2019's days are numbered, it's starting to show it's age, 1 of the ditchlights doesn't work half the time.

2019 arrived in 2013 to supplement 3836, 3839 and 3885 (remember that 73 was still OOS at this time). Keep in mind this is when sand traffic was booming and the MS was running giant Z627s to Holland nearly every night, plus a day time job. The Kiamichi units were sent all over the place and Muskegon had 3 at one point. 3805 eventually went over the GRE and later MQT where it stayed until it blew up. 3801 and 3803 were sent elsewhere.

When 24 started having problems on the GRE, 3885 was sent over to replace it. 73 was repaired and shortly thereafter became MMRR 1216. 3839 went to MQT for work and eventual repainting into MMRR 2057. That left 2019, 3836 and 73/1216 on the MS, which was sufficient. Once 2057 returned to the MS, 3836 was transferred to the B&P which needed an additional 4 axle (and to quasi replace the 2019, which had been B&P 51 before coming to Muskegon). Once sand traffic began to dwindle, 1216 was sent to a G&W switching operation down south and was later sold off entirely. Fast forward a few years and the traffic on the MS had dropped so much that they really only needed one unit over there, so 2057 was sent to the MQT who had more use for it, leaving just 2019. Traffic eventually started rebounding and 2025 was sent over from the HESR. Now 2025 will be replaced by a new GP38-2 acquired from NS. 2019 received a full rebuild before leaving the B&P (and so did 3839/2057, in 2007) so I don't think you'll being seeing that one go anywhere anytime soon. The old, non-rebuilt straight GP38s like 2025 and 3836 are the ones that G&W has been purging as of late.

It's not that the MS shops can't work on engines, they completely rebuilt 3839 and resurrected the KRR units along with 73. Power assignments are up to the motive power manager at G&W, more or less.

Never knew the specifics! Thank you! 2170 has arrived on MS and is sitting in North Yard(Might be switching in Muskegon, I don't know) , 2025 is still active with 2019 on Z627

MQT 2044 is replacing GR 2104 on the GRE for time being. 2104 is going to Manistee for some work it sounds like.

2169 arrived on the MMRR a while ago; 3868 already left the MMRR, 2025 still sitting in Muskegon
