I'm guessing that goat and cart are in front of the old White Cloud, Michigan, Pere Marquette Depot. It is on the west side of Michigan's lower peninsula, north of Grand Rapids.

Brass players answer train
I saw a link to this on Dave Barry's site, where some brass horn players echo the horn from a locomotive. Amusing.

Hey there, fellow foamers! After a one year hiatus, the Rails on Wheels train show is back for 2021. Woman killed by San Francisco Train
There is a bizarre story at https://news.yahoo.com/woman-tied-dog-dragged-death-203918105.html about a woman who was killed by a BART train in San Francisco. She had tied her dog's leash to her waist, but when she left the train, the dog stayed on the train, and so apparently when the door closed th...

Re: The Legend of Beavis
Dang it! You should have issued a "First Class Beverage Alert" so people won't be eating or drinking anything while watching that video! By the way, that video was great! When Beavis and Butthead were first on TV, I thought it was just a stupid cartoon. I tried to watch them a few times, but I would...

Tampering with BNSF tracks, Washington state
Interesting story at https://breaking911.com/2-leftist-women-arrested-on-charges-of-terrorist-attack-on-a-railroad/ about a couple of left-wing radical women who were tampering with BNSF tracks. But you have to love the author/editor of that piece who use "breaking" when they should have used "braki...

Dang it! Peter Green has died. Green was a blues guitarist and one of the founding members of the Fleetwood Mac band (when they originally played blues). https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8559849/Fleetwood-Mac-founder-Peter-Green-dies-aged-73-family-concern.html Back in the late 1970s, my (th...

OK, so I just switched my preferences to prosilver, and it is not much better than the default. Now (with prosilver), there is gray text on a light blue/gray background. Still not enough contrast for my old eyes to read easily. PLEASE add an option so I can see BLACK text on a WHITE background. Than...

Re: Railroadfan.com Zoom meeting 4/23/20 7:30pm
Folks, you should NOT post the ID or password to any online conferences, ESPECIALLY not for Zoom conferences! There are a lot of miscreants on the Internet who are searching for those conferences, and who will then log in and disrupt things by posting all sorts of objectionable material. It's called...

Nice video. Thanks for posting! Seeing the Bluewater Chapter cars in that video also brought back a lot of memories of steam trips sponsored by Bluewater.

LMS Men of the Footplate (video)
There is an interesting video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdGE3a31uJQ that is called "LMS Men of the Footplate." It shows some of the various jobs that are needed to keep steam locomotives running in Great Britain circa 1939.

I used to ride the Bob-Lo boats when they used to go to Bob-Lo Island. When you would return to Detroit on a boat at night, sometimes you could see them dumping slag on/near Zug Island. It was cool at night. Naturally, back then (1960s/1970s) we had no way to film that at night, not effectively, any...

Heck, I'm so old I can remember when Kenny Rogers played psychedelic rock with The First Edition. In particular, he/they had a hit with "Just Dropped In (to See what Condition My Condition was in)."
