Hi, How busy is Durand MI on a Friday from 9:30 am to 2:30 PM. I know that the CN flint sub is biggest show in town with like 20-30 trains a day. And the CN holly sub like 5-10 trains a day. GLC brought 3 gons for Beacon this afternoon.

GLC southbound into Howell at 11:54p.

GLC coming south through Howell now- 1:23pm.

GLC came NB through Durand about 8:10pm with 3 locos and just one car (looked tall with a tarp over top). Also 3 CN trains within the same hour.

Eastbound and westbound CN trains about to pass each other in Durand, 5:41pm.

A westbound CSX train with one loco passed through Howell at 5:10pm

I'm in Howell for the week for training at the engineers union facility, and while at the Holiday Inn Express currently (5:08PM), I can hear a train blowing for a crossing. I see there are CSX track near the hotel (next to Tanger Outlets). I think GLC goes through Howell also- maybe I'll see someht...

They may scrap it at Beacon. GLC delivered a bunch of cars there a while back and I think a few of them haven't been cut up yet. I got out of the house Saturday (rare event). I saw a box car sitting on the main I think near Beacon or somewhere around here in TC. Almost never see a box anymore here....

There was a trip to Traverse City today, unfortunately I did not visually see it but heard it from home. Did not hear it return South yet.

Left TC about 6pm with one empty center beam and 3 loaded gons from Beacon. 399 and 396 I think.

From my understanding, CSX wasn't happy that the Hamilton Northwestern Railroad had locomotives that were still in a close paint scheme to their competitor Union Pacific. They said "oh no you didn't think yous were comin on our property with those colars!" and said they weren't allowed on CSX track...

399 leading 396, and 4 empties (3 Amerhart, 1 Beacon) through Kingsley. Left at 19:22. Side note: special thanks to the Football Pressbox guys for blasting the goal horn at the train! The Beacon car would be a load, not an empty. :D I just can’t win today… :lol: But did Kingsley win last night? :)
