Contiential grain and barge adopted the CM "skunk" paint from the 9209 and 9210 and painted several locomotives into that paint scheme. I always had thought the Highhoods looked great in it, and apparently they agreed.

not to pester, but what about the GTW GP9Rs? theres a few left on CN's roster and Most all of them out working still on various places.

yep. as of last year both are still active in 2 different locations. may have been renumbered. its been a while since i've talked to the friend i made at CGB

if you'd like to add it, the 9209 and 9210 both went to Continentel (sp) Grain and barge. One is at Naples Illinois, and the other is at another location in Illinois. both still in CMGN paint which CGB adopted for a few other highhood geeps.

Another couple corrections. 4502 ran for a few years as a CMGN unit as well before the 8903 blew its prime mover, the 4502 "donated its PM to the 8903 since it was already painted. The 8903 is in mexico, not the 8905 which was scrapped sadly (i have one of its numberboards next to me) The 4065 went ...

csxt 342 went through Deshler this AM in Very fresh YN3B paint.

thats what I'd thought as well, but all i can find, and the diesel shop (stop laughing) still shows them as active as former SD35M's. i can't find any pictures of the SD40-2 variant.

any update on retirements since the last?? and Thank you for the new Update! Also, i was looking at a couple rosters.. 2420 and 2421?? from every place I can find, these seem to be rebuilt SD35's which i figured were LONG gone. was I right in my thinking, or whats up with these 2 units?

per loconotes, the BNSF dash 9's are lease return. should be about 100 of them in the 4700 and 4800 series

So 3868 is sold to MEI once the 2169 comes up. And after that, i believe I may have helped it move onto its next life. i'm going to ask again, what happened to the updates? i know csx has done alot of rebuilding and retiring. 7231 was seen at the Erie plant testing via a you tube video. 7219 is on the road.

Per the GLC mechanic on another board, the Dead 35's are going to begin a program to upgrade them and rebuild them. my guess, and its only that, is to Dash 3 standards like the SD35s they just got.

So i saw these trucks, or a couple like them around 12Pm on I75 northbound in Bay City. they were spine like trailers and only had 1 or 2 sections of rail per trailer. I'd guess 50 to 60 foot lengths.
