Non it was going to the GRE

2019 maps shows about a dozen cars in the yard. A mix of hoppers and tanks. I know a couple of years ago they were getting a few hoppers via GDLK to GRE.

No, the Elkhart and Western is also at 421. A NS local runs their cars out to them. They have been getting long strings on boxcars lately.

Anyone know where all of the boxcars are going on the E&W?

Heard they were supposed to increase out put, but I didn't know they bought this plant.

So, if the switch to the E&W is now a hand-throw and outside the limit of CP-421, does the NS need to get permission from the Grand Elk to go 300 feet on their line, reverse the switch, and bring the cars to the E&W interchange, then repeat the process on the way out? GDLK doesn't own that far down...

They are definitely getting the north michigan market, with transloads in Grand Rapids, Saginaw and now Gaylord.

Somebody on Facebook reported that 7030 & 3534 were being sold and moved? Any reliable info on this? As reliable as what filters down from Watco/GDLK management to the employees. The 3834 said to be getting a "Dash 3" electrical cabinet. The 7030 they are thinking age and condition will relegate it...
