Would you rather come across a wolf pack or one grizzly bear?
I think a wolf pack but both would be intense

Would you rather accidentally send a sexy text to a relative or to your boss?

Looking forward to pictures of your engines and freight cars.

GRSE preference is that someone who has future plans buys them so they’ll be available

Don't scrap them yet. I know a railroad / organization that might be willing to buy the RS2u's.

In what will be considered sad news GRSE will be scraping/selling all four of its ALCo’s and replacing them with a GP38-2: Owner: Grand Rapids Southeastern Model: EMD GP38-2 Built As: CRIP 4341 (GP38-2) Serial Number: 757136-27 Order No: 757136 Frame Number: 757136-27 Built: 11/1976 Notes: Acq 2024 ...

Re: Durand & Grand Rapids (D&GR)

D&GR has agreements with Alma & Mid-Michigan (A&MI) and Grand Rapids Southeastern (GRSE) to rent SD60’s 6017 and 6020 on their unit grain trains. A&MI averages about one unit train a month and GRSE two a month. The Anderson’s in Pewamo average about one a month too so by all three railroads bundling...

Re: Port Huron Industrial (PHIN)

It was thought the old Dunn Paper plant was for sale. But recently it was learned that it remains owned by the successor of Dunn Paper, BiOrigin Specialty Products. Closed in October 2022, they have not indicated that the plant is for sale, are still the owner and continue to pay taxes on the proper...

Neither are a good match for me but I'll go with the physical labor of working on an off shore oil rig.

Would you rather wear a necktie every day or never be able to wear a necktie again?

Correct, ex-GTW 4910. They moved the tubes down from the top to the side of the hood so it would fit in the coal dumper shed IIRC.

The 4910 was formerly at the Erickson Power plant of the Lansing Board of Water & Light. I believe it is ex GTW.

Re: Carleton, MI railfan meet

I like the IORY updates. From what I understand it runs two or three times per week and usually has 10-30 cars. Are they still handling dry ice to ADBF? PS you’re not a true railfan until you wait for the reclusive I&O Flat Rock turn and do not sleep a wink for as long as it takes for it to show up ...

Integrity Iron and Metal extended thier siding when Mr Shepherd owned TS&B so that was before 2006. He also got Cherry Growers to increase outbound shipments significantly around the same time. Traverse City was getting switched three to five times per week back then and the cement transload in Elmi...
