Our trail manager has been out repainting all of our mile markers and whistle posts this week. Can you name the trail and nearby cross street?

My son was picking up stone in Wyoming Yard this morning and managed to get a shot of SW9 Apalachicola Northern 710. He'll try to get a better view if he has any more pick ups.

NTSB posted a video yesterday that shows close-ups of the lead engine and the truck. I don't see any wreckage of a trailer.

Saw it roll by on the Fort Madison IA Virtual Railfan camera yesterday afternoon. It was headed back west.

Sounds like L303 is currently rolling through Elmdale.

Might want to try the other border next time.

I'm working on an update of the River Valley Rail-Trails web site. These are the rail trails on the former railroad corridors between Lowell & Greenville (C&O etc.) and the GTW etc. between Lowell and Ionia. Eventually this will also include Lowell-Elmdale when the purchase of that property is final...
