Re: Junction Yard on the NS
That photo is deceiving. With the RenCen and the Ambassador bridge in the background, to the south, it appears the train is leaving to the north.

Re: Uss Gt. Lakes Works
I believe they just announced 170 job cuts. They may not need that loco. Might also cut back 69T.

Re: Junction Yard on the NS
I went to the Trains Mag website, and they only have back issues available to 2004. But thanks anyway. I may call them and see if they go back to 2003.

Re: Circus Train to Pontiac
Decisions, decisions. How badly do I want to get up early on a cold gloomy morning? Right now, it's snowing.

Re: Junction Yard on the NS
Been there. Done that. I worked for the GTW at Pontiac in the late 60s, at the old Johnson Ave yard office. It was a busy place back then. It's gone now. We had the Jackson local every day, from Pontiac to Jackson, and back. Regular power was an RS-1. We ran a local up to Gagetown or Pidgeon in the ...

I have a book on Detroit area railroading, that mentioned NYC running trains out through the Dearborn branch, to the Detroit line to Toledo. Is the Junction yard branch, the same as the Dearborn branch. By the way, 39E hit a guy ...

No I don't have that issue. What issue was it? I just renewed after being out of it for a while.

Re: Junction Yard on the NS
Thanks for the replys. I have been trying to sort out all the spaghetti down in that area. Was down on Pleasant street today, and there's a bunch of tracks crossing Pleasant, south of I-75 and Fort street. I do some trainwatching at Delray, and Oak street in Wyandotte. I'm trying to figure out where...

Re: Circus Train to Pontiac
Just curious if you might get arrested back there. How are they about trespassers on the CN? OK. One more question. Does it have to be posted No Trespassing for them to ticket or arrest you?

Junction Yard on the NS
Where is Junction Yard, and the Junction yard running track, on the NS. I think it is somewhere near Ecorse junction or Oakwood yard, but I can't visualize it.
