Got screwed is a little harsh. Judging by the train and time of day, I would say that Q151 was waiting for Q131 to come off the Lincoln.

Funny how this topic moved from Stanley Tower to Delray. It is an example however, of how things in the industry just keep on changing and the two being examples of what was very common in the industry that will soon disappear. CSX Dispatcher, my sources at Conrail tell me, as of a couple of weeks ...

From what management is telling us this is a done deal. CSX is not going to give control of the interlocking to another railroad, I think those days are long gone. To handle the workload, they are going to split the RN up into two new desks. They have not said where the split will be yet, so no one ...

Matt has it right. The RL got control of the CP's at Lake and Owens on the Toledo Branch last week. The plant from WR to the signal at CTT 19.2 is still in control of the operator.
BTW rumor has it that Delray will be next to be closed next year and control given to the RN desk.

Re: CSX GRE MQT Location Update 8-23-08

I actually get to start this for once. :) Around 6:45am this morning there was a train dropping off racks in New Boston. By the looks of it, it might have been Q399. On the way back to town, I caught the tail end of a manifest. It might have been Q334, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Q399, doesn't w...

NO DEAL. THE BEST WAY IS SEE IS RUN ON THE NS FROM SOUTH BEND TO GARY. Yea right. CSX is going to sel...

Whatever happened to all these laws they planned to pass against talking on the phone and driving? Wait, it wouldn't work because the police do it now also. Me being from the younger generation still won't be on the phone as much as everyone else. Like when you are trying to wait in line at a store...

the track will be put back as it was before the bridge. csx isn't paying the bill on this project and i'm sure that csx wouldn't let this project happen if the track was not the same or better. the old signal at Sheldon road might disapear. there is no real need for it after the road is gone. you c...

Q30417 went up the Lincoln with CSX 8889 leading. That is one of only a couple ex EL SDP45s around. The unit should be on Q305 Monday, but I would think it would be the trailer.

Re: Gee Zack

I assume you must have MISSED the massive thunderstorm that raked the areas from Rockford east thru the Chitown Metro area to South Bend last night? I have never seen so much lightning on the radar scope! Nice bow echo to this guy too. 90MPH winds out at one of the City of Chicago water intake crib...

Hmmm, that's odd. I was at Vicker's Junction with Jon (aka GrideJQ) from 10pm Sunday night until about 2pm yesterday afternoon and didn't see any train from Toledo docks with SD40-2 power. They must of swapped the power in Walbridge because all the empty trains from Toledo Docks went to Walbridge Y...

Heard it was due to crews. I was told there will be X741's for the next couple of weeks, so that might be playing into the decision.
