Re: Emergency Funds to Help St. Joseph Harbor.

As far as getting back to this thread, I think the Manistee went up to Muskegon instead of St. Joseph because the current was too swift in the St. Joseph River. Calumet and Manistee arrived in Muskegon Thursday night to offload salt at Verplank. Most decent size barges do have anchors. Whether they...

Must have run out of cinderblocks they left the passenger side tires. Of course that side the camera's can probably see... Haha, I think those are actually landscaping blocks. Northstar runs from Target Field Station to Big Lake. There's a good of amount of track laid down for the light rail around...

There's also deals such as this:

Re: Emergency Funds to Help St. Joseph Harbor.

Nice ones Jochs. 1/22 - Straits of Mackinac – The Manistee, eastbound in the Straits, became stuck in the ice Saturday at 11 a.m. south of St. Helena Island. She spent the day trying to work free but remained stuck Saturday evening. The USCG Biscayne Bay departed the nearby USCG Station St. Ignace a...

Northstar runs from Target Field Station to Big Lake. There's a good of amount of track laid down for the light rail around St. Paul to link with downtown Minneapolis.

Minneapolis - St. Paul Amtrak Station

Went and met a friend in the Cities to hang out for awhile on Saturday the 21st. She had never been on a train before and $38 each way from North Dakota to MSP is pretty good for a six hour trip. Swiftly towing a trailer up I-35. http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q287/BB_Michigan/misc/DSC03534.jpg ...

Re: Emergency Funds to Help St. Joseph Harbor.

So the Manistee anchored off St. Joe sometime around 4am yesterday morning until about 10am and took off heading toward Chicago, then turned and headed up the shore to Milwaukee. They went past there all the way up to Port Washington before turning around. Now today they are about an hour from arriv...

Re: Emergency Funds to Help St. Joseph Harbor.

The GPS has been down for the West Michigan area for the past few weeks so I'm not sure where it is right now. When it was coming around Empire it was about 20 hours out so it should be about 6am Tuesday Morning.

There's some great looking photo's in there. Thanks for posting. WOW! You take some great pics! I especially like the ones taken at night. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Great pictures. A couple questions. In the 5th pic, the Manistee appears to be crosswise of the channel. In the 6th pic down, it ...

Riding the Waves into Manistee

Another abundance of pictures from Manistee, the folder actually has 800 files in it from this single day. Sure doesn't feel like I click the shutter that much. :) 8/09/11 Looking north from First Street Beach. http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q287/BB_Michigan/Great%20Lakes/IMG_2514.jpg http://i13...

A Google search for Manistee hits swing bridge brought up this as the first search result. Maybe this is what he is thinking of. http://www.railroadfan.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11624 This is what I had seen. Not sure why they went off course as they were lined up straight to go through the brid...

Re: Emergency Funds to Help St. Joseph Harbor.

When I was looking at this thread the other day, the CBS Up to Minute overnight newscast just happened to have a zoomed in video of the St. Joseph Lighthouse. Was showing it for the weather. As of right now the Manistee is west of Charlevoix down bound through the Manitou Passage showing a destinati...

Re: Battle Creek Car Hits Train

Looks like Shenandoah Junction, WV. As a matter of fact a Google Image search for Shenandoah Junction brings up this picture. Seems pretty random for a Michigan news article. http://www.flickr.com/photos/redarrow101/5126542425/ Synonym for aboard is on board. I still see those Baby On Board signs on...

Fabulous pictures as always BB :) Thanks AARR. Nice shots, Brandon. I love Point Betsie! Thanks J T. Have you been there when the waves are crashing into the seawall sending water about 10 feet high?
