Re: Video of My Layout

Nice job Chris, the sounds edited in are good as is the video angles. Reminded me of Unstoppable with light engine running over the road before picking up cars. Now if only your local didn't blow the horn, that could have been the "coaster." haha

Re: Black Bird rides the rail

What does this thing eat to get so big?? An acre of corn?? I couldn't believe that there was two of these birds hanging around in Swanton (OH) today while railfanning. I've been seeing a number of large black birds around here lately. Caught one standing on the rail before. http://www.rrpic...

370 had 4 coaches last night. Stopped twice along the NS before crossing the Dan Ryan because of a sticking brake shoe on the third car. It was smoking pretty good. 156 was put on the Southwest Chief yesterday.

Re: The Great B-17 – B-24 Controversy

As for the B-17, the Yankee Lady visited Manistee for the opening of the new air terminal. I posted these awhile ago but here they are if you didn't get a chance to see them. http://webpages.charter.net/d712/B-17%20Yankee%20Lady/album/B-17%20Yankee%20Lady.html I'm partial to the B1 myself... MQT Rail: Snow Plowing - 2/03/11

Great day to run this plow extra, plenty of sun and almost all roads were cleared of snow. Here's a couple video clips, pretty windy for video though. The second scene wasn't focused properly. The locations are in the description. VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XELxNEaHuZY Looking across a fr...

The layout looks very good.

That's actually the Bronx Terminal in the Bronx. Appeared to be an interesting operation.

Re: Waterloo - SUV off I-69 onto NS tracks

My thought would be she figured she could keep going on the median until she reached the end of the guardrail to get back on the freeway. Happened shortly after 5pm so it's still light out, probably was panicked and never seen the dirt "ramp" or concrete barricades that line both overpasses. Here's ...

Re: Blinking Lights, Storm Clouds, and Lakers

Thanks for all the comments. Brandon you always have some sweet photos. I never knew the boats stayed that close to the shoreline. At Big Sable Point Lighthouse they are even closer, then the land sits back from the shipping lane toward Manistee so most of the time you need elevation to see them out...

Glad you guys liked those and I'm glad the eagles stayed put. A couple weeks after these pics there was what appeared to be a young eagle flying around the same area. It didn't have the white head yet. The Manistee News Advocate had a big section about this airplane recently. It is classified as an ...
