Trainz 2012 Michigan Trainz Routes
For those looking for updated content for TS12, I have redone several of my routes https://sites.google.com/site/michigantrainzroutes/ on my site. They also have been uploaded to the DLS and are awaiting approval for those who use TS12. You will need content from Pofig (all trees), SARXT (all scener...

Re: Trainz 12 Michigan Online Sessions
Chris, I'll be doing a route for MP on the Flint Sub route and possibly the Mt. Clemens Sub routes in the works. I think I can remove the non-DLS content from the PH&D route and create that one for MP too. These will take some time and probably be after the New Year. The MTC Sub Route will have a MP...

Tomorrow's Road Rally in Croswell- Atkins Update
Today I spent about 2 hours or more making things a little more accessible on the trail and the old ROW. It is about a 10 minute walk for me to the water station. I trimmed brush, briars, pickers, thorns, and other things that scratch so one can navigate a little more safely and see. I have lots of ...

Re: Insulated Foam Board for Scenary
Some of the foam board does have aluminum on it on one side. If it is pink or blue then it is probably good for layout use. The white stuff sometimes has the aluminum on it and it is not suitable for sanding and sculpting like the pink or blue stuff is. Wear a mask when working with this stuff and m...

Re: Trainz 2010 Help- RRMods TSBY
Some content that works in TS2010 will not work in TS 2012 if you have that sim. It will need modifications too. It's a pain, but there is some good older content worth fixing to get into TS12.

Re: DCC Power Supply question,
I use laptop power supplies myself and have had no problems. Just be sure you dcc booster's input voltage and amps are not over what it is rated for. Laptop ac adapters produce a nice filtered DC which works well for the DCC system. I use one for my Digitrax booster and command module and another fo...

Trainz Simmers... ALERT!
After a long and detail build, I am going to release the Port Huron and Detroit route for Trainz 2012 (2010) Simulator probably this week. This has been a long build, longer with many life events slowing work, but the entire 19 mile route of the PH&D will be done to scale with about 98% accuracy for...

Re: Any good online retailers other than Walthers???
Well, that all depends on what you are looking for. DCC- http://www.tonystrains.com/ - they have good pricing and sometimes some real steals on clearance items. Lots of good info. http://www.internethobbies.com/inmodtrain.html- large selections, pricing was lower than most others, but now about the ...

Re: Developing a GREAT railroad museum
The Selfridge connection is probably gone for good. I know the MTM complemented the Selfridge Air Museum and that reciprocated back to MTM. The base in its security wisdom decided to cancel the MTM's operations a few years after 9/11. Currently the base has cut and removed rails from many road way c...

Re: Rolling Stock Storage??
Wrapping them in paper towels are a must if storing in a cardboard box. Placing tissue between cars is a must as well. I just opened up all my boxes of cars from when I packed them away over four years ago. I was amazed at the amount of couplers broken from NOT cushioning the couplers with something...
