I got stopped by CN 387 on the Mt Clemens sub at 9 mile today.
I saw the last half that was autoracks, boxcars lots of autoframes and some flatcars. The time was about 5 pm. I tried getting pictures but it was too dark.

NPCUs on Amtrak Trains
I posted something similar to this before, but I noticed that in the summer time amtrak has a NPCU on one end of the train. And in the winter time they have two P42s one on each end of the train. Why does Amtrak use an NPCU in the summer and part of the winter. Why do they have two engines on the train during the other part of the winter?
