Your pics turned out way better than mine, JT! For the heck of it, I'll post a few of mine. 1. Decent crowd at Comstock Park http://conrail-jon.rrpicturearchives.net/pictures/18262/100_2954.jpg 2. MQT 3158 looking good in fresh paint with chimney smoking at Sparta. http://conrail-jon.rrpicturearchiv...

Essexville Coal Trains

I'm glad all these coal trains are heading up our way now. There's usually atleast one load and empty each day so far. However, are we the only ones enjoying them? CSX seems to be having a lot of problems with them on the Plymouth sub. I've never heard of a train getting down to 1 mph between Plaste...

Steam: Lima 2-8-4s and ALCO 4-8-4s (prefferably the PM N-1s and UP FEF-3s). Big Boy's also.

Diesel: I like the FP45s in ATSF Superfleet, SD50s in Conrail and CSX YN2 and YN3, and SD80MACs in Conrail and CSX YN3.

Anyone else notice......

Maybe it's just me, has anyone noticed that in the last 2 years the railfan count in West Michigan has really jumped up? I never really saw any pictures but Zack's and a few others up until that time. That was the time I started railfanning, and since then a lot of others have joined up on this site...

Well after Jon headed in I was on my way to work and caught Q326 with an ES44DC, an AC6000CW, 2 drones, the Seaboard unit and another Geep behind G.B. Russo & Son. Pictures came out shakey in the bad light. http://conrail-jon.rrpicturearchives.net/pictures/11798/100_2932.jpg On the way home I stoppe...

CSX and snow plus CSX 2667!

This weekend was pretty good. The snow made it great for shots. Friday started off with K380 leaving the yard. http://conrail-jon.rrpicturearchives.net/pictures/11684/100_2856.jpg http://conrail-jon.rrpicturearchives.net/pictures/11798/100_2860.jpg Then we had Q326 leaving soon after. http://conrail...

Tracks at 44th and Kalamazoo

At the intersection at 44th and Kalamazoo, you can clearly see where there were once tracks. Who owned that line and where did it go?

Although they're not really locomotives, Chessie drones 9120, 9121 and 9122 should count for predecessor paint schemes.
