Re: Conrail Train Location Updates 2023

Thank you. It's cool that you know that and can share it with us. That is unusual. Do you know why its there? Intermodal at North Yard for likely a unique reason. Word is 20N could not setoff their intermodal at Livernois due to the derailment at Scotten, so went to North Yard as a temporary holdout.

Not Detroit land. Go west. Rivals would be the PRR and NYC. The concrete stack and white building just poking up to the left are prominent features in this part of the city.

Re: GLC RR

Speaking of the comments on the Facebook group. The report is the GLC has only 6 currently operating units. Is this true? The rost currently lists (* are locomotives with active pictures / reports in the last 3 months or so.) SD40-2 329*, 382 SD35 383*, 384, 386* GP35 385*, 390*, 391, 392, 393*, 39...

Re: GLC RR

On occasions NS will run their locomotives with a unit grain train across AA to an elevator located on either GLC or MMRR and back. Also, even if these two "officially" merged I still see the crews exchanging trains at Osmer IMO. I think GLC and AA already operate their trains as a single system. If...

Re: GLC RR

I think GLC and AA already operate their trains as a single system. If they ever get around to “officially “ merging I doubt we as railfans will see any difference other than the engine colors. Most of the changes would be the bundling of administrative stuff.

Re: CN Train Location Updates - January 2023

Southbound through Pontiac with a long string of vehicle racks ( I’m guessing empties) and containers. CN EMD F and GE R just as God intended 🙂. AARR , what were the locomotive models/numbers? Yes it is good when EMDs lead trains!!!! I didn't get the numbers, but both were late model engines.

Re: GLC RR

I was under the impression that they need two sets of engines. One of Cadillac and one for Owosso that the day shift shares with the night shift. Is there a need for Owosso's crews to have separate sets of engines? If that's the case, this would be all of the power they would need for just one trai...

Re: GLC RR

9 got it  341.22 repeating sorry. I divided by eight. And no, I’m not sure that just nine is enough. They should probably get more of the assets they own running. Re: GLC RR

Unless someone from GLC specifically says there's a crew and/or power shortage, it's just railfan speculation. You doubting me bro Still running: 329 383 386 395 396 399 AA, TSBY and GLC have a good reputation for their engine maintenance. I am surprised they have more engines on their roster out o...

Let's just blame AARR for me getting interested in what cars go to what industries, and what commodities are shipped in or out. :)
Thank you. This is one of my favorite parts of the hobby.

I also enjoy seeing what trains cars travel in from their origin to their destination.
