Re: Track plan

Enjoyed the video.

In it's early days Johnson Controls/Tower also received box cars of components. I recall MILW box cars at the dock next to the building.

Re: Former MMRR Boxcar

Couple of questions… do we know what the heritage of those boxcars is? Presumably some major railroad owned them originally.. When did the plant close and get torn down and was there rail service right till the end? Most of the box car heritages can probably be figured out. I recall some GTW 8-door...

Quick note to industries. I was going to change this as soon as I figured out, but it won't allow me to edit the pages on the MMRR wiki.

FRA Train did go to Petoskey. OS ten minutes ago at 2:10
Is it possible for them to turn at Walton to TC?
No clue. I don’t have any idea of how long it takes to get from Petoskey to Walton Jct.

Re: Mid Michigan Railroad

Padnos acquired Alma Iron and Metal around 10 years ago or so when the scrap yard was still located along the river. AI&M was a steady user of rail service shipping 3-4 cars a week. Interestingly, for CSX/MMRR to access AI&M their spur crossed TSBY in-between Wright Siding and the north connection. ...

Re: CN Updates June 2021

South end of Pontiac Yard has no cars. Completely empty. North end has a few strings of hi cube box cars (probably for GM Stamping), frame flats (probably for the repair shop in Waterford, tanks cars and a few miscellaneous others.

Thanks

MMRR had a pool of box cars in appliance service in Greenville. Seems like they had a variety of older box cars including some ex-GTW 8 door 86' hi cubes.
