Re: CSX Locomotive Roster News, Updates & Information Thread

I couldn't find info on these in this thread, unless I'm just blind, but what are the histories for;

4050-4055
4070-4080
6509
6518-6519
6524-6525

Re: CSX YN3B Paint Thread

The first GEVO repaint, 5250, has been spotted in fresh YN3B, trailing behind a rust bucket SD40-2. http://rrpicturearchives.net/showPictur ... id=3658820

Re: CSX YN2 Paint List

Also, 7681 and 7861 are flip flopped. 7681 was repainted to YN3 back in 2011, while 7861 still remains in YN2 as of March 2013.

Re: GEVO Nose Door

This was a change. From what I've heard and seen, the engineer side doors started in 2009 because GE had to rework the inside of new GEVO's for extra lighting and precautions as per new regulations instated by the FRA. I know numberboard placement was an option (though now it seems like now every ra...

Re: CSX Pre YN3 Paint List

And another, 8044, even though it was repainted from gray to YN3 in 2010, has gotten YN3b.

Re: CSX Pre YN3 Paint List

7847 also had the same kind of repairs done a few years ago. It's in YN2 with black numberboards and no window on the nose door.

Re: CSX Pre-YN2 Paint List

Will 8865 ever run in blue again? I doubt it but I thought I'd ask. Hey don't give up hope. I'm sure 8865 will run in blue again. It'll just be darker and with brackets and 2 dots with yellow lettering. Also, I suppose since there's only 1 YN1 left (2519) and 1 Conrail left (8865), should we count ...

CSX Train Location Updates 12/07/12

Figured I'd start this since I already have one.

CSX Q556 from Ottawa, IL, to Chicago was through Morris, IL, on the New Rock Sub at about 12:30 AM with CSX 7838 and 8786 up front and 1539 on back. The GP15-1 will be used for backing up at Blue Island, IL, into Barr Yard.

Re: CSX Pre-YN2 Paint List

Bob M., do you post the repainted engines from your recent paint stats anywhere? I would love to see them.
