Orrville, OH, Caboose

Hi,

Does anyone know the number(s) of the EJE 500 series caboose that became a BLE 1981 series caboose and is now stored in Orrville, OH? http://goo.gl/maps/Nnslx

It should be 502/1988, 513/1981, 518/1982, 535/1983, or 545/1984.

Thanks, Roger

Hi, There's an STB filing to abandon 10 miles of track from the junk yard west of Lawrence, MI, to the eastern end of track at Paw Paw, MI. In Lawrence, there's a cupola caboose and a few freight cars in an area bounded by S. Paw Paw St., E. James St., Blackman St., & South St. http://binged.it/TpHT...

Re: Rail-Trail Issues

I don't know about Michigan, but many/most states have a process called "ownership by adverse possession". This allows for a person(s) to claim ownership of land that isn't theirs if they have used it for "X' number of years with or without your permission and without a contract that specified later...

Lansing DT&I caboose

Steel, wide vision cupola, DT&I 141 caboose, upon retirement, became the Artrain ART X5/ARTX 0005 office car.
