Re: Proposed Chicago Logistics Hub

It would be nice to get more intermodal traffic in Michigan since CN poured so much money into building a brand new tunnel in Port Huron back in 1995. Weirdly enough, CN does not have a single intermodal pair from Chicago to Toronto. Not a dedicated intermodal only maybe but there is at least one p...

As per FB the Housatonic has acquired two GP15-1s, 1510 and 1511. Assume they got these from LTEX

Safari still says the login page is not secure but the rest is working fine for me.

For people who may know; why is it railroadfan.com/phpbb and not just railroadfan.com, i.e. what does the /phpbb mean or do?

Eastern coal loads N904 are rolling down E02 track with a train of 90 Bethgons for the JH Campbell generating plant in West Olive. There's not a GE in sight as the coal train's pair of SD70MACs pass inbound Q335's pair of SD40-2s, which were tied down after cutting away from their train in E06 due ...

I also read that most of the potash (about 325,000 tons) will be for local consumption in MI, IN and OH so if that's true it will stay on trucks from origin to destination
Interesting to hear. Still sounds like a decent amount of business for GLC.

I wonder how these coils will be delivered to the GDLK. Maybe NS via Kalamazoo (wishful thinking) or Elkhart?

Surprised it took this long to register---- not in TSBY colors, but rather in U P. colors, where 1977 came from. I am getting too old !!!
Though it may not look it, this unit was fully repainted by TSBY.

Starting at the south end of the area, near Pitt Jct, I see that in 1985 the topo map still shows the AA line running all the way up to just before the station (where the siding ends now, before joining the Holly Sub main). There were two tracks (one AA and one GTW) crossing Pittsburg Rd. Now the G...
