Re: Bluewater "Timberliner" trip (short notice)!
Road the Saturday trip to Grayling and return. Had a fantastic time! I'm also a long time BWMC Member. Ok, PMLady, you may have seen me with the camera on board! I too road the SAT side trip (actually Grayling to Gaylord, although it went only as far as Frederic), and that was great! Though, I don'...

Bluewater "Timberliner" trip (short notice)!
The Bluewater MI. Chapter "Timberliner" train excursion is tomorrow and Sunday (10-2/10-3)! I thought that I'd let everyone know (I didn't find any posts on this) about it! I'm going to ride tomorrow (SAT) on the side trip from Grayling to Gaylord/return! It should be great! The first Bluewater tri...

Re: NKP 765 going to Michigan
Ill be a watching this. If she's on the road tonight, and makes it to Bellevue for an early AM departure... and if it makes it close to Michigan after 330p ill be out there. Sometime, I would think there would be another double-header with 1225! Man, that would be great! I have that gut feeling 122...

Re: NKP 765 going to Michigan
I can't wait for NKP 765! I missed it last year because of the serious accident that I was in. Now, this sure is another chance (I stated this on page #1 of this thread)! Sometime, I would think there would be another double-header with 1225! Man, that would be great! The best (that I have seen) wa...

CSX "Boat Yard"
Was the old CSX yard off of Court street in Port Huron officially (by CSX) named "Boat Yard?" I get different answers from fellow railfans. Some say, "that was the official name." Others say, "that's just what us railfans call it!" I just just need to know the official name. I want to be correct fo...

Re: Mt. Clemens Depot
There's a group keeping it maintained and open for visitors. Transit somethingorother I think. It's on Grand (I think) just north of Cass. Once you're at the tracks and Cass you can't miss it. The location is correct! The name of it is: Michigan Transit Museum! Very nice depot! That is where I star...

Re: Why Not Have Signals on the Mt. Clemens Sub
One man crews sure are scary! Man that would be lonely without a fellow crew member! Who would help if there was a problem? The computer would control everything! (like HAL 9000 from "2001 a Space Odyssey") :?: Sure, it will take many years before this happens but we can't stop tech progress...

:D :)  Well this is a great birthday gift! I just read this today! Now I am happy at age 27! My Dad's old saying for every birthday was: "I've Never Been This Old Before." I love that saying and myself am using it too! My Dad's quotes will now live on through me! I love it that #765 w...

Re: CSX Royal Blue or the Bright Future scheme.
I personally like the YN3 (dark future) better than YN2! It looks nice!
Although my favorite one of all time is the blue/gray from early CSX! Nothing out there now is quite the same like it used to be!

Yes, we know. That picture was posted here on May 22. Look 5 posts above yours... I know it was posted, I was just displaying that photo instead of the pic only posted as a link (which I did miss over these last few weeks). I figured it has been seen but it is possible to miss seeing it (such as in...

YES! Very Nice!
Here is the picture posted by MSchwiebert of this unit painted (in case nobody has seen on here yet)! I just thought it would be nice to have the picture displayed, so here it is! (I just discovered that pic today and think it looks great) Let's hope this continues! We will have to wait and see if ...

Re: They have arrived and they are moving ore!
Although it's interesting to see the CEFX units on ore trains, I am more interested in the old GE power! Does anyone know if any of the old GE locos are in service up there? I am planning a visit to the Marquette area this summer and am hoping to catch them at least once before they are gone foreve...

Sweet! I am going to attend "F P R D" for the 1st time ever! The only time that I've seen a DDA40X up close was at St. Louis Trans. Museum 5-2005! Hey EJ&ESDM809 , how did you find the info? Has 6936 been to "F P R D" before? I know that you are in the "CHI TOWN" area, just wondering these question...

Re: NS Operation Lifesaver TRAIN! Wednesday 4-28
Any ideas when it will leave Sterling :?: No idea of when it will leave the yard. (may have already) I saw the train at Sterling yard today and was told by some peole that it was leaving at an unknown time. It probably is way too late now, but you never know! Man it sure is a nice train! So clean! ...

NS Operation Lifesaver TRAIN! Wednesday 4-28
Well, I haven't seen any posts on this board about this train so I'd figure that I should. Here is the timetable that Larry posted on michiganrailroads.com lower MI board! Operation Lifesaver is running their train, Sterling to Monroe and back on Wednesday. Schedule is: Leave Sterling yard 9:30am D...

Re: Michigan Airline Railroad's Equipment For Sale
What about the black switcher #1512? I am sure it is the one that is used to switch American Plastic Toys. It isn't listed for sale. Could it be heading to Florida? I posted a few days ago about the Florida purchase. I guess we'll have to just wait and see how this works out! Anyone have more info?...

Michigan Star Clipper is leaving!
http://www.orlandotrains.com/ Well, the Star Clipper is now going to be run down in Orlando, Florida!! I guess that is going to be the "new" place with more customers. If anyone knows when it will be moved from Walled Lake, please post! Even though I have seen (and rode) both trains over the years,...
