Late update; but Katie was discharged yesterday evening! Lots of sleeping today, it’ll be like that for awhile, but she is home.

The Amtrak Inspection Train - 4/10/24

My take of the inspection train that ran on the rear of Amtrak 350 and 355 back on April 10th. This is the new style of how I’m going to be making videos, people apparently REALLY liked it. Enjoy!

Re: MMRR to cease operations in 2025?
I believe Ceres Solutions moved all rail operations to White Cloud. I got the drone up this last October while chasing the MQT, while I didn’t take any photos of the facility, I did notice 6-8 CH’s on their lead. Past satellite photos show only 3-4. I did ask my girlfriend for the hell of it since ...

Re: CN Train Location Updates - April 2024
Alright, I got a good Facebook® "Heads Up" for northbound train 382!!!! Though I thought it passed since I heard a horn around noon! Was that an extra Sunday local? Train 382 had ex EMDX CN SD70ACe #8102 and "Blue" GECX ET44AC #2029 with 156 cars, cleared Masonic Road, Fraser, 1:37 p.m. :...

One of the best lashups of 2024 so far - Macomb, Michigan
https://youtu.be/_K-PXy_t96A?si=fqNPGIG1PrsIu72W One of my closest friends from Ferris State was in town, and she wanted to hang out yesterday. However, it just so happens that lives 5 minutes away from the CN Mount Clemens Subdivision. Knowing that M383 usually passes between 8-10am, I decided to g...

Re: CN Train Location Updates - April 2024
I couldn’t post this earlier due to some personal reasons, but heres today’s M383. CN 8102 (SD70ACe, one of only four that CN owns and the only one that can lead in the US to my knowledge) leading, GECX 2029 (one of the last Tier 4 demo units left in service on the CN) and CN 2788 (former citirail E...

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - April 2024
G83217 was parked at Plymouth this AM for GR crew to take to Grand Ledge. Should become G07719 and be moving within the next hour WB. Why did this train need to change symbols? I think it’s because the crew that takes the train out of Walbridge or wherever they get on isn’t qualified on that line o...

CSX I165/I166 question
When CSX I166/I165 runs (I don’t know the CP ID), does it run with CP crews the entire way (obviously with a crew change or two) since it originates on the CP, runs on the CSX then back to CP? Or is it a CSX crew?

Re: CSX head on collision in Folkston, Georgia
Miraculously, only minor injuries. I know the speed of impact wasn’t high, but I know L743 well from when I lived down south and did my three trips to Folkston that I did. Back then it was A771. It often becomes a key train after it works Waycross (it works Waycross, Baldwin, Wildwood and terminate...

Re: CSX head on collision in Folkston, Georgia
Well, it got lined into the other guy but how did the system even let that happen? Should be a fascinating investigation, to say the least. It’s actually sounding now as more comes out that the signals were out in Folkston and they were running under EC1’s. They had switch tenders on the switches a...

CSX head on collision in Folkston, Georgia
CSX I032 and CSX L743 just collided head on at the Folkston turnout in Folkston, Georgia. Injuries are unknown but all signs are pointed at the dispatcher, which per multiple railfans on the ground in Folkston, lined the L743 right into the 032.
