Re: Quick I&O question.

I&O updates so far as of June 1st. The I&O Is the only railroad operating between DIANN and Flat Rock currently since CN started interchanging their traffic with NS at Oakwood Yard instead of Flat Rock due to covid19 and the slow economy. The bad news the IORY only goes to Flat Rock from Delta twice...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Being a former Columbus resident you don't have to go very far on the Scottslawn Sub to see where the grain trains are placed. You have the elevator at Kileville, two elevators at Marysville including the gigantic Heritage Coop, West Mansfield, and Kenton which is technically on the Toledo Branch.

Re: The Future?

This could be happening in the not so distant future, actually it will happen. And it starts in Kansas City at the Ford Claycomo Assembly Plant where Ford will start stamping in house and it ends at Oakwood Yard in Detroit. How will it end? Well this change will spell the demise of the final two NS ...

Re: Zug Island Works closing.

In the not so distant future, a Michigan businessman is looking at the downriver area to place an electric arc seemless, pipe, and tube mill that will be of steel, nickel and titanium. Maybe they'll place it near Zug Island in two to three years once this old mill is demolished and oil is at the rig...

Zug Island Works closing.

Does this spell the end of major steelmaking in Detroit? What parts are closing permanently? What will stay operating? What does the future hold for Zug Island as this is a major railroad customer in the Detroit area. https://windsorstar.com/news/local-news/zug-island-steel-operations-to-be-silenced...

Oscoda-next big customer development.

They may not have the space here due to the Lake Huron, the city, another little lake, and the military base but Im thinking the LSRC can use Oscoda to their advantage and attract customers on the grounds of the wirtsmith afb or start a transload their by the mainline.
