Just learned that the place we’re staying at for my dad’s 60th birthday is a mere mile away from the GR Subdivision :)

the 129th Ave crossing, I was having trouble finding the angle to start recording if I waited a bit longer for the train 😕

I have to thank the cars for giving a cool breeze while I waited for 45 minutes tho

maybe I’m not getting it but, when else would you be filming, other than when the train was in view?

I wish there were a better train watching hotspot on the weekends closer to where I live unfortunately there’s not. So I would definitely have to travel a ways in order to go to one of those gatherings. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time in the summer to do a whole lot of anything but work. Oh and that reminds me this needs to be brought to peoples attention. 😏

If there’s a place to watch trains and not have to deal with any toxicity, it’s the annual meets
