Spokesperson said yesterday afternoon that it would be fixed that night. I took a look couple hours ago and the apparent damage makes me wonder what he was looking at.

We never lost power in Bloomfield Hills. Strangely enough, everything passed to our north/south. Dodged the heaviest stuff sometimes by a matter of 2-3 miles
@ DaveO « Sat 3:37:02 pm »
Going to lose lots of meat. Trusted DTE that power would be restored next day. Had they been honest would have taken it to a relatives house.
@ DaveO « Sat 2:52:46 pm »
Chick fil a. Power still out. People in trucks looking but no people out of trucks doing.

There are people that will eat the calories I do without the biking in solidarity with me :-)
@ AARR « Sat 2:25:58 pm »
My body will continue to burn calories at a high rate for the next 24-48 hours and my calorie input will be close to todays to keep up
@ AARR « Sat 2:24:11 pm »
I drank 192oz of my homemade energy drink during the bike ride and I will drink about another 2 gallons of water before the day is over
@ AARR « Sat 2:23:25 pm »
For dinner will be a 16oz steak, baked potato and vegetable with cheesecake and cookie dough afterwards
@ AARR « Sat 2:22:49 pm »
Shortly I’ll make a multi greens salad with a side of carrots
@ AARR « Sat 2:22:29 pm »
Post ride meal was oatmeal with fruit and nuts and dark chocolate afterwards
@ AARR « Sat 2:21:52 pm »
Mid ride snack was energy bar, apple, PBJ sandwich and coke.
@ AARR « Sat 2:21:21 pm »
preride meal was hamburger, salmon, vegetable medley and rice with piece of cake and iceacream
@ AARR « Sat 2:20:29 pm »
So as you can imagine this is a big calorie day for me.
@ AARR « Sat 11:45:39 am »
I was maintaining close to a 15mphavg but from mile 35-50 I hit the wall and slogged along at around 12mph before I felt good again.
@ AARR « Sat 11:27:27 am »
100.4 miles, 6:57:17, 5095cal, 14.4mphavg. Slowest time ever but raised second highest donations ever.

good idea getting the miles in before way too hot, although it's already 85 here. Nice job on 100 miles AARR.

Penalty for not being truthful? Nothing. I worked for ma bell years ago and that kind of deception wasn’t an unusual practice.

DTE we have restored power to your area. No you haven’t, your computer is making you look good by removing customers from your outage map that are still out.

Went to bike shop in Ionia and spent too much money. Getting ready for bike tour tomorrow. My son and Nephew are pedaling with me.

And kids are back from summer camp. That was a strange week with them gone, but glad they are home. Thankfully they had a great time and very few complaints. Horseback riding, tubing, kayaking, soccer, new friends, and tons of food appear to be the highlights.

My son texted a few times today. He was at my Brother’s house while I was at work. They live close to Sunfield. He was pretty concerned. See how everything is tomorrow I guess when I pick him up over there.

It’s always cool running into someone that you haven’t talked to in an eternity
@ ~Z~ « Thu 11:51:31 pm »
got about 25 miles in this evening. Ran into a girl I used to work with at APT in muskegon and Charter in GR. 20+ years since I’ve seen her. Lives in VA, but was in town visiting her family. Random and half.

I was following a car with a bumper sticker, “Please Be Patient New Driver “. They were texting while driving. 🤦‍♂️

Ipad cell service. Fiber seems up but modem needs juice. Maybe neighbor let me be his guest :)
@ AARR « Thu 11:57:50 am »
Seems to be power outages in the Farmington and Southfield areas
@ AARR « Thu 11:33:05 am »
At least you have power to the essentials like your computer 🙂
@ DaveO « Thu 10:49:28 am »
I’m bored. I need power and I need it now. LOL Not surprisingly cell service is limping under the traffic it’s getting.
@ DaveO « Thu 10:46:37 am »
And DTE is out looking at the drop wire. Wonder if they will just cut it at the pole and fix later.
@ DaveO « Thu 10:37:52 am »
See that a plane got flipped over at Troy airport. Small one with twin rudders.
@ DaveO « Thu 10:17:15 am »
Small one which hasn’t been used in years. Should restored today. If the substation was up we would be up. Only issue is neighbor drop came down and might short out.
@ AARR « Thu 9:54:35 am »
Do you have a generator?
@ DaveO « Thu 9:46:29 am »
Mother Nature found us last night. Appears the entire substation area is without power :( NWS radar showed a nice clockwise rotation as storm approached. Doesn’t need to be a tornado to be bad news.
