Bikey complete. 15.56 miles county roads, my usual hilly route. With my daughter #3. Averaged about 12.2 . She was not a fan of all of the bugs or the hills.

Z, I am not a fan of riding on M 43 or M 50. In fact I don’t like to ride M roads in general. MY friend really insisted on that route though. He said M-50 isn’t really that busy on that section. And it isn’t. M-43 was way too busy though. Not going to do that again.

In 1992, a crack commando named Michael was sent to prison by a military court for a crime he didn’t commit. Michael promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Detroit underground. Today, still wanted by the government he survives as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find him... maybe you can hire The A-Team.

I’ve been to jail. Several times. Every time I got out, it seems like I wound back right in jail again. Eventually I got so pissed I flipped the Monopoly board over and left

20 years ago I think they still had around 10-12 yard jobs / locals stationed here. Maybe a few more. Now there is 1.5 jobs.

just riding down M43 and M50 in low sunlight? no thx man. Please stick to the gravel and the country roads that you’re used to. I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all. But I think you're moving too fast

last time I was in silverton, co a man had rescued 2 full size 4wd pick-ups because the driver was over their capability to continue. by that time san juan county was using a bulldozer to maintain the trails(county route).

I had the 351. But it had lots of weight being truly off-road capable. It made it to the Rockies a couple of times. Before the trails were made more friendly to modern 4wheelers and their mall jockeys.

I used to own a suburban with a 7.4L big block 454 v8. It had similar mileage characteristics to what DaveO was describing. It had so much power. It could pass anything except a gas station.

10 miles for me tonight. Was going to do more but daughter #3 once again asked to join. She isn’t quite as speedy and didn’t want to cover as many miles as I did. But I was very happy to have her along noo matter the distance or the pace..

got 13 miles in tonight. left thigh not feeling great, more stretching to try to fix it.

i stand by the thought that even as AARR ages and pace slightly slows, it's even more impressive the time you spend biking.

Daughter #1 is 18 now anyway so I don’t really say much to her any more. Plus she is gone working at a summer camp now.

I don’t enforce daily cumulative limits but probably should. generally speaking my kids *usually* find enough other activities to do that I’m not concerned. Also no social media accounts allowed. I did finally acquiesce on snap chat but I now regret my decision. Can’t put that genie back in the bottle.
@ Jetlink « Mon 3:25:01 pm »
I confiscate devices. And require additional jobs to redeem them as a consequence for poor choices or bad behavior. The standing rule is AWAKE 0900 and turn in all devices by 1000 and devices returned upon completion of daily chores. Devices also all go to sleep at 10:00pm; devices are not allowed in bedrooms. The chargers are on the living room cabinent and I check that all devices are there prior to bed.
@ bluewonderrails « Mon 2:38:28 pm »
One friend’s version of parenting which I think was for a punishment other than limitation, was to let them use whatever device they had as long as they wanted to -- but they forked over any chargers they had
