Heading out for a bike ride now then work this afternoon. Heading to Reno and then Bellingham WA for layovers. Hoping to get some more mountain hiking in possibly both towns.

Got a 5 mile mountain bike ride in yesterday at Hammond hill near Hastings. Rode with my 10 year old son, 10 year old niece, and my 17 year old nephew, Would have went a lot more miles but the 10 year olds had enough.

I did not see L301. continued west to a Wendy’s in Holland, and now in a tent in the woods near port Sheldon. 35 miles done, about 45 to ride tomorrow. Thinking Russ' in grand Haven for breakfast.

Whether you work for ford or not, car geeks know that the 6.4 is kind of a yikes engine
@ David Collins « Fri 1:03:08 pm »
It’s a joke in my family since we’re a two generation GM family and my dad has ford truck that’s always having problems (granted, it has a 6.4, which has…problems)

I almost bought a 1965 Mustang to be a project for me and the kids. It ended up being a little too big of a project for my resources with the body work needed.

AARR, I worked for the distribution portion of the Detroit Newspapers from 2002-2018… I never toured that building. Although I don’t work in newspapers anymore, it would be fascinating to see.

fyi, GDLK didn’t head south by my house this morning, so if you did indeed hear GDLK around 54th st, might have been the local working industries there.

Got my bike camping equipment all set now. Used a pannier last night, so much easier to carry what I needed to bring. Put a sweatshirt, food, clear glasses, and wallet in there. Lots of room. Now just to find the time to be gone for two days to ride out somewhere, camp, and ride back :)
@ ~Z~ « Thu 10:33:11 am »
planning a ride either to or from muskegon this weekend, about 62 miles away is the inlaws.
