I’d enjoy surface streets through Saginaw, might see a tren. but I understand why you’d not enjoy it as much :)
@ Jetlink « Mon 9:00:05 pm »
Not sure how I feel about 11 miles of surface streets in Saginaw.
@ Jetlink « Mon 8:59:21 pm »
The posted route is 39 miles and goes on north edge of Frankenmuth. .
@ Jetlink « Mon 8:56:10 pm »
Doing so would allow me 10 miles on the st Charles airline trail and another nine trail miles from Saginaw out to richville. I would then need 7.5 additional road miles to get to vassar.
@ Jetlink « Mon 8:54:45 pm »
Well looking at your route idea. I would have to ride about 11 miles through Saginaw. On surface street

The food stops that you already paid for though make sense to follow their route.
Interesting thought there Z. Might have to look into that. Hadn’t considered that routing. We didn’t buy the food package so we would really only be missing out on some snacks at sag stops. We have been sourcing our own food from local wayside shops and eateries.

Give the 13 year old the 11 year olds experience. And the 11 year old the 13 year olds strength and energy and we would have a fierce riding machine.

Not bad for herding a slow 11 year old and a wild impulsive 13 year old with 0 riding experience.

we ended up leaving just before 0800. Then immediately stopped for breakfast. Hit a food truck along the way for lunch. Stopped at two of the sponsored sag stops for snacks and water. Arrived at Newaygo just after 2 pm.

yes I study their route everyday. And then routebash it. Will be on trails tomorrow, and Tuesday for some of it. Doesn’t make much sense to use trails in st Charles even though they are there because we aren’t really going where the trails go. Will also use a few miles of trail between millington and otter lake the day we go between vassar and Marlette.

Go to Costco or Harbor Freight or wherever and snag a generator.

Spokesperson said yesterday afternoon that it would be fixed that night. I took a look couple hours ago and the apparent damage makes me wonder what he was looking at.

We never lost power in Bloomfield Hills. Strangely enough, everything passed to our north/south. Dodged the heaviest stuff sometimes by a matter of 2-3 miles

Going to lose lots of meat. Trusted DTE that power would be restored next day. Had they been honest would have taken it to a relatives house.
