Got up at 7am, original plan was Wauseon, Ohio but ended up in Swanton. Caught the Monongahela Heritage Unit and a few orher trains. Drove to Millbury, caught several trains there. Drove up to YD (River Rouge), filmed a few trains there including the Grand Trunk heritage unit. After that I went to the hospital and visited Katie, yesterday (4/13) was her birthday, then worked the night shift and just got home within the last 20 minutes

But I really like my dad. We did a lot of other fun stuff together. I talk to him almost every week.
@ Jetlink « Sat 12:11:52 pm »
I did music, choir, theater. My dad was a jock in school so he didn’t understand. He rarely came and when he did he always had a disgusted look on his face. So I told him I didn’t expect him to come. And he usually didn’t much.
@ Jetlink « Sat 12:10:20 pm »
I never played sports much as a youth. Not really interested. But I really love going to kids games now. It is very fun.
@ AARR « Sat 11:47:06 am »
I didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have until I was older, though :-( .
@ AARR « Sat 11:45:48 am »
I played football, basketball and baseball. My brothers played soccer, basketball and baseball. Our parents attended a ton of games.
@ AARR « Sat 11:43:01 am »
When I gave speeches at sporting ceremonies I always gave a big shoutout to both of them.
@ AARR « Sat 11:42:13 am »
They both believed it was important to attend.
@ AARR « Sat 11:41:39 am »
When my schedule would conflict with my brothers sporting events my dad would come to mine and my mom to my brothers
@ AARR « Sat 11:41:02 am »
Both of my parents attended every single sporting event of mine through high school, most of my college games and even many of the basketball and softball games I played after college.

Lunchy at the Perrysburg, Ohio Raising Canes
@ Michael « Sat 11:14:32 am »
You have already attended more of your kids games than my dad ever did but I know he still loved me. He was just old school.
@ Jetlink « Sat 10:36:59 am »
Missing a softball tournament and my son’s soccer game today. Despite the incredibly flexible scheduling tools my employer allows us I still can’t make every event my kids participate in. The family calendar has athletic contests nearly everyday in May and April. So if I work at all I am bound to miss a few.
@ Jetlink « Sat 9:55:34 am »
yes. tis a simple game.
