A tire retailer who shall remain nameless only put 2 tires on my AWD instead of the 4 I ordered. Needless to say I was somewhat disgusted.
@ justin_gram « Mon 4:17:22 pm »
It’s amazing how many people would think I’d be trying to scam them when it came to all wheel drive cars having four matching tires
@ ~Z~ « Mon 3:45:12 pm »
Aye JT. Yeah, i remember back with my subaru, needed all 4 tires to have very similar tread wear. If one was less worn like your one new one was, it would spin at a slower speed than your other three, and cause issues with your differentials and driveline. FWD just wants the front pair being similar. I had to replace one tire once, so 1 tire was off from the other three. Move it to the back wheel, making sure the front two were matched, and it’s all good

I hear others say the same thing.

Got the remaining 3 a few weeks later.
@ J T « Mon 1:14:02 pm »
Well, I probably could have got another 10-15K out of my first set (CC1), but I had an unrepairable tire back in the fall, so they put a new CC2 on it (road hazard warranty) and it didn’t really match the other 3.
@ ~Z~ « Mon 12:12:57 pm »
Altima doesn’t have all wheel drive, lolz. They have approx 60k mileage warranty..man, you drive a lot to be on another set after 3 years. cool tread pattern: https://www.michelinman.com/auto/tires/ ... ssclimate2

I hope you have all wheel drive, because that’s where these tires really shine. Been running them for 3 years now (already on my second set) and they are awesome in the snow.

$110 off special for michelins so decided to give them a try. I used to get a 20% off direct through Goodyear, but appears my company’s discount stopped at the end of 2022.
@ ~Z~ « Mon 11:05:20 am »
ah right, it’s our native discount tire man. That be where I had it installed on 54th St in GR. View of GDLK, but alas, no trains as one would figure.

@ ~Z~ « Mon 10:29:00 am »
speaking of tires, just got some new ones installed this morning. Old ones were from 2015, so it’s been a hot minute. Finally, the "wobble wobble wobble" noise I was hearing is gone too! Got some Michelin cross climate2 tires, seem to have very good wet/snow traction. Drove some side roads that were iced over and certainly much better than my mostly balding tires.
@ ~Z~ « Mon 10:26:59 am »
maybe he had some nice grippy tires?

There was a biker out this morning. 25 degrees in the dark on a bike path with black ice is not something I would do. Jogging slowly is one thing but biking is another.
