I can only do about 1 hour rides when it is cold. Won’t go if it is wet at all this time of year.

I hear you guys. You know how much I like our Honda’s, on our 10th one. But the tires on Mrs. AARR’s recent CRV wore out after 25,000 miles. That was disappointing. Still trying to get some compensation for that.
@ ~Z~ « Fri 1:51:27 pm »
i know that’s how things went with my Subaru SVX at least.
@ ~Z~ « Fri 1:51:14 pm »
yes, subaru aka AWD needs tires rotated more often, not just for tire wear, but to not mess up the drivechain. Tires with less tread than others will cause one tire to rotate faster than the others, messing up linkages and wear the parts out faster.

I have no doubt the OEMs could have done 60-70k if I rotated them
@ DaveO « Fri 10:26:41 am »
I found out courtesy of BF Goodrich years ago that the oem tire that came on the vehicle had a wear rating that was worse than the ones I bought at the tire store to replace them. No wonder why Detroit auto companies had a bad reputation.

I never rotated with the Mazda due to being only 2-wheel drive. I only ever changed the fronts on that one since the rears just didn’t wear
@ Saturnalia « Fri 10:10:32 am »
50K miles on the factories…probably could have gotten more had I bothered to rotate them. I definitely will with these new ones
@ Saturnalia « Fri 10:10:08 am »
I knew I needed new tires for winter but that was a fun surprise when I took a closer look the other day
@ Saturnalia « Fri 10:09:48 am »
Scheduled tire replacement…was starting to be able to see cords on the fronts - yikes!

Also got a 12.51 mile bikey in. Wasn’t fast at all. Me thinks I have lost most of my aerobic conditioning from this summer. i still had it about two weeks ago. Was turning 19 mph splits. That just wasn’t happening tonight.
