Good luck. Not a fan of night riding myself
@ Jetlink « Thu 9:50:20 pm »
Hoping for about 20.

Welp. Kids all settled. Mrs Jet settled. Time to go get my miles in.

PALM has passed through my home town a couple of times. I would like to do that and or the Michigander sometime.

@ Chip « Thu 9:34:49 pm »
If it ever happens again, one year I would love to do PALM.
@ Chip « Thu 9:13:25 pm »
We have other rides through the week that are no-drop and a much more conversational pace. The Monday "trail town" rises usually get a decent turnout

that’s sad. I hate group rides where folks get dropped.
I was fine with it, it was advertised as a drip ride and the no drop group wasn’t there this week. Plus I already knew half the route from MGST back in may.

I stopped in Montague for lunch last year on our way to the cottage we rented in Pentwater. Cool little town.

What is a DCC ride?
@ Jetlink « Thu 9:10:16 pm »
It’s also a cool accomplishment
@ Jetlink « Thu 9:10:05 pm »
It’s fun.

Perhaps next year though, it sounds awesome

I would love to but there’s no way I’m going to be able to do that kind of miles on such a short notice. My longest ride ever was 66 miles back in may and I haven’t ridden much since then

my wife or family have transported me in the past. I’ve never ridden the provided bus transportation. This will be my third time.

You can park at one end and Bus to the other or arrange own ride.

Chip, I’ll be riding the ODRAM on Aug 14. want to join?

I really want to try a pace line with riders of my ability sometime though
@ Jetlink « Thu 8:41:21 pm »
usually 17 mph +/- .5 mph on my solo rides.
@ Jetlink « Thu 8:40:57 pm »
I can get 18 mph by myself when I’m really feeling my oats but not consistently.

Nice avg speed though Chip
@ Jetlink « Thu 8:40:11 pm »
I’ve done some informal ones.
@ Jetlink « Thu 8:40:03 pm »
I’ve never really done a serious pace line.
