Today went out to ride the Pine Valley Pathway on mountain bike. Made it about 2 miles out into the wilderness when I caught a stick in my spokes and it wraped my chain and rear deraileur into a knot. Got it out and my deraileur and hanger were all bent up. Tried to striaghten them out but ended up just snapping it of accidentally. It was trashed anyway so no major loss. Ended up just hiking back to the camp through the woods pushing my bike. Beautiful day for a hike too so no loss there either.

Yes very nice. The winds were brisk from the north and there were pockets of lake effect rain showers. So we opted to ride with the tailwind. Kaden really wanted to do the entire trail. So that worked out well

think I’m going to try some of the KalHaven trail tomorrow. Spent the day with father in law for his bday and to craigs cruisers for wifey’s work outing.

We are planning on shuttling back to Reed City tomorrrow and completing the trail all the way to Cadillac.

So Z actually rode more miles on his out and back than our group did.

We made it to reed city and got picked up there at 6:12. Shuttled to Club 37 for supper. After Supper 3 of us rode from Club 37 to camp. Another 6 miles. Got about 70 miles total in.

89 miles ridden today on the White Pine from Comstock Park to Stanwood and back. Rode with Jetlink and a few of his friends that were heading to a campground for the weekend. Yummy meatloaf in Stanwood. Tailwinds helped push us north well and could draft, southbound was tough on my own but at least no flats on the journey met a friend and her son in Rockford for 7 more miles. Excellent day out there!
