Some companies are forcing employees back to in-person full time because they have expensive office space owned or leased that they don’t want sitting vacant

Maybe it’s because they’re really developing cults not cultures. It’s a fine line between the two

It seems like they should be able to develop a culture remotely

I originally thought working remotely full time was here to stay because of cost savings and efficiency but there are still major companies requiring their employees to come to the office at least several times a week.

Is rush hour traffic back to prepandemic levels Tue-Thu? It seems like it.

In my case we have our house to maintain, my mom’s and mother in law’s, our kids, our daughter is in horse shows, church and community volunteering, etc.

Most families I know remain busy after their children move on but it’s a different hecticness.

I did not get a ride in this evening due to weather

Tomorrow is at Ionia for a softball double header. But we will likely not be attending as it is also Senior Honors night for our graduating daughter.

Mrs. Jet remained home.

Mrs. Jet, not so much. Today we tied Dansville 2-2 in soccer and split the Double Header in Pewamo-Westphalia. Both sports were away games. I attend the Softball games in P-W.

I have lots of fun at the games.

Jet daughter #1 graduating high school on thursday. Attended Baccelaureate service today and recognized all of our graduates at church service this morning as well. Also drove to GR for a soccer game at MSA on 28th street and hustled back to attend a graduation open house too. Crazy busy day and weekend really.

Bikey complete. 3 phase. 25.0 total miles. 1 mile gravel warm up. 23 miles on the county road pavement. 1 mile cool down on the gravel. Was trying to just take it easy but keep the pace somewhat reasonable. Ended up at 16.3 mph for the AVG. 1:24:14 time and 1170 Kcals.

Was rained on the last 4ish miles and actually biked faster during that stretch

3 miles of gravel roads. The new bike actually does quite well on gravel.

18.2 mph and 17.4 mph avgs respectively. About 40 minutes each way.

Then got a bikey to my Brothers birthday party (11.67 miles) and returned home 6 hours later (11.66 miles). Brother lives Between Sunfield and Mulliken; turns 40 years old tomorrow.

Traveled to Dansville today for a round robin tournament. Lakewood varsity girls took second. Last years state champs took first. They were an impressive team. Passed so precisely and accurately. We only lost 4-0 to them so I thought that was decent. We won all the other games quite handily. The girls are playing quite well now that the season is nearly over.

We (the parents) were no longer able to beat the girls once they got to middle school. The last parents game I played in the girls wer mostly 13-14 and they beat us like 8-1.

played soccer in parents vs daughters game today. was a forward first half, goalie second. so much fun, exhausting, but awesome.

took a sport trip with high school baseball. coach not on bus yet. the language they used about some passing girls was disgusting. I had no doubt they felt it was appropriate behavior. I walked back and made sure they understood what I would do if they had any more judgment lapses.

That’s unfortunate Jet but I’ve been through a few of those over the years too

Attended my nephew’s baseball game in Clarksville. They played a team from Portland. The Portland team was very un-sportsman like. I felt bad for both teams. Twas disgraceful the amount of personal taunting and jeering coming out of the Portland dugout. The coaches allowed it and the umpires were intimidated by the Portland coaches and did nothing to stop it. One of the mothers of one of the lake odessa players was crying after the game. I have not seen anything like it at a ball game before. Portland won but lake odessa was a worthy adversary.

I went one way in a Roomette from Dallas-Chicago-Battle Creek in 2020 and it was a little less than 500.

We did a bedroom round trip to Battle Creek - Chicago- Los Angeles and returned from Flagstaff-Chicago-Battle Creek 2015. I want to say the round trip was about 2200 bucks.
