Loading Dock??

Looks like it might be an early TOFC (trailer on flat car) ramp, used to load truck trailers onto flatcars. These would have been used for early intermodal operations.

Freight dock..there are several in the thumb (exPM)..where is this one?

This loading dock and the photo of the powerbox I asked about are across the tracks from each other, just south of Front St. in Monroe, MI....I think Monroe used to have alot more local train activity at one time then it does now. These days the main lines just basically pass through (with exception of Edison and the old Ford Stamping plant, I still see some box cars in and out of there on occasion) on the west side, being CSX, and the East side being NS and CN....Anyone that has any info about Monroe and the railroads, I'm all game to listen.
