Trona Railway Overview
The Trona Railway is a 30.5 mi short-line railroad owned by Searles Valley Minerals.
The motive power of the railroad consists of 8 EMD SD40-2 and SD40T-2 locomotives, which replaced Baldwins were sold in 1993. all locomotives have TRC patches, but are still in the color schemes of their former owners, Union Pacific and Southern Pacific.
TRC interchanges with Union Pacific at Searles, California.
