Tomahawk Railway Overview
The Tomahawk Railway, owned and operated by Genesee & Wyoming, operates 6 miles of trackage in northern Wisconsin around Tomahawk and Wisconsin Dam. In order to access its line to PCA in Wisconsin Dam, TR operates over 1 mile of FOXY (formerly CN) owned trackage.
The railroad was created in 2005 when Genesee & Wyoming bought the Marinette, Tomahawk & Western Railway. TR handles over eight thousand carloads annually, consisting of coal, chemicals, scrap paper, woodpulp and pulpwood inbound, as well as outbound pulpboard.
TR interchanges with Fox Valley & Lake Superior at Jersey City and in Tomahawk.
