Tomahawk Railway Overview
The Tomahawk Railway, owned and operated by Genesee & Wyoming, operates 6 miles of trackage in northern Wisconsin around
- In 2005, Genesee & Wyoming Inc., bought the Marinette, Tomahawk & Western Railway and renamed it to the Tomahawk Railway.
- Currently the Tomahawk Railway operates 6 miles of track, with 1 mile being over CN owned trackage.
- The TR handles over eight thousand carloads annually, consisting of coal, chemicals, scrap paper, woodpulp and pulpwood inbound, as well as outbound pulpboard.
- TR interchanges with Fox Valley & Lake Superior at Jersey City and in Tomahawk.
