Santa Cruz, Big Trees and Pacific Railway Overview
The Santa Cruz, Big Trees and Pacific Railway is a freight and heritage railroad in Northern California.
SCBG uses diesel locomotives to haul excursion trains over an 8-mile route between Felton, CA and an interchange in Santa Cruz, CA with the Saint Paul and Pacific Railroad (formerly the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay Railroad, Sierra Northern Railway, Union Pacific Railroad). From there, trains continue on to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on the SPP Watsonville–Davenport line. The SCBT&P is one of very few railroads in North America with extensive street running rails.
The railroad is owned and operated by Roaring Camp Railroads.
SCBG interchanges with Saint Paul & Pacific at Santa Cruz, CA (this interchange is currently inactive).
